Sri. Mohammad Vaseem
(Former District Judge)



Profile
  • He had his law degree from Government Law College, Ernakulam.
  • He joined Kerala Civil Judicial service as Magistrate in the year 1989.
  • Served as Magistrate, Munsiff, Sub Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Additional District Judge, Special Judge NDPS Court and Family court.
  • At the time of retirement in the year 2021, He was Principal District Judge, Thodupuzha (Super time scale District Judge).
  • The State Government reorganised the Kerala Anti-social Activities (Prevention) Act Advisory Board and appointed Sri. Mohammad Vaseem as its Member on 17th February 2022.
  • Since April 22, 2024, in addition to his duties as Member of the KAAPA Advisory Board, Sri. Mohammed Vaseem also serves as the Member of the Advisory Boards for the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act (COFEPOSA), the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act, and the National Security Act (NSA).

  • Enrolled as advocate on 26.01.1986.
  • During the period 1997 – 2001, He served as Government Pleader and from 2006 – 2010,He served as Senior Government Pleader at High Court of Kerala, Ernakulam
  • Thereafter, He served as Additional Director General of Prosecution and Additional Public Prosecutor at High Court of Kerala from 2010 to 2011.
  • The State Government reorganised the Kerala Anti-social Activities (Prevention) Act Advisory Board and appointed Adv. P.N. Sukumaran as its Member on 17th February 2022.
