To forward opinion to Government as to whether there is sufficient cause for the detention of the person concerned under section 3(1) of the Kerala Anti-Social Activities(Prevention) Act 2007. To consider the representation of the externed and cancel, amend or confirm the externment under section 15(1) of the Kerala Anti-Social Activities(Prevention) Act 2007. To forward legal clarification, guidelines and amendment proposals to Government regarding the KAA(P)A Act 2007.

The Kerala Anti-Social Activities(Prevention) Act 2007 was enacted to provide for the effective precaution and control of anti-social activities in the State of Kerala. To ensure that the security of the State, Society and individuals are protected, the said act was implemented. To examine and review the fair execution of charges under the KAA(P)A Act and to ensure that the provision of the act are not misused and at the same time to ensure that the fundamental rights of the accused are protected.

To forward opinion to Government as to whether there is sufficient cause for the detention of persons indulged in illicit traffic of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances or not. To forward legal clarification, guidelines, proposals to Government regarding the PITNDPS Act.

PITNDPS Act was enacted to prevent the illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and protect the people from the serious threat to health and welfare and national economy. The Advisory Board ensures the effective and indiscriminate application of the act and protects the fundamental rights of the detenu.

To forward opinion to Government as to whether there is sufficient cause for the detention of persons indulged in smuggling activities or not. To forward legal clarification, guidelines, proposals to Government regarding COFEPOSA Act.

COFEPOSA Act was enacted for the conservation and augmentation of foreign exchange and to prevent the smuggling activities and connected matters. The Advisory Board ensures the effective and indiscriminate application of the act and protects the fundamental rights of the detenu.

To forward opinion to Government as to whether there is sufficient cause for the detention of persons indulged in cases concerned with national security or not. To forward legal clarification, guidelines, proposals to Government regarding the NSA Act.

NSA Act was enacted for maintaining national security. The Advisory Board ensures the effective and indiscriminate application of the act and protects the fundamental rights of the detenu.
